Superintendent's Message

Dear School Community Members:

The summer of 2016 has turned out to be very busy and exciting. The work that has been accomplished makes me certain that the 2016-2017 school year will be a great one.

First, let me congratulate the graduates of 2016. They distinguished themselves as students and I am certain they will do the same in the real world. Congratulations and Best Wishes CCS Class of 2016!

Second, we are excited for the first year of our sports merger with our neighbor Spencer-Van Etten. The combined teams (not all sports have been combined, only those with lower than necessary participation numbers) will be competing as the SVEC Eagles. I want to thank everyone that put forth the effort and provided the support necessary to ensure our students continue to have these important extracurricular activities in which to participate. Make sure you come out and support both the Candor Indian teams and the combined SVEC Eagles!

Finally, as I am sure you are aware, there have been changes this summer to our facility and traffic patterns. On opening day and for several weeks to start the school year, we will be using signage and district personnel to direct traffic until practical final decisions can be made regarding traffic flow and pedestrian patterns. I am asking that everyone coming to campus be aware of the new traffic and pedestrian circulation on our roads and sidewalks. Thank you.

The 2016-2017 school year will begin for students on Wednesday, September 7 th, 2016. On behalf of the entire staff, we hope everyone had a wonderful summer and that everyone is looking forward to another great school year at CCSD!
